Turn Up The Heat
TURN UP THE HEAT!
Bart management still hasn’t removed its’ pay ravaging/benefits reducing takeaways from the table. It’s time to turn up the heat on BART! OUR Union bargaining team is meeting daily, so they are doing their part, but it’s up to us to show BART management and the Board of Directors that we mean business when we say NO TAKEAWAYS! Can you afford to take a $10-17,000 a year cut in wages and benefits?
. capping District paid medical at Kaiser rate .end sick leave buy back
. paying your own PERS contribution of 7% . eliminate the cola
. elimination of the MPPP . no wage increases for 4 years
BART’s spin doctors are busy putting out their lies and distortions trying to win the hearts and minds of the public. We countered with facts-in our leafleting to the public Wednesday June 10th, in our letters to the editor and editorials in the SF Chronicle & Contra Costa Times, on our website. More media events are planned.
BUT the most powerful tool we have is – YOU. MEMBER POWER! Our unity and solidarity with ATU & AFSCME is strong. The contract expires June 30th. There are 2 CRITICALLY IMPORTANT DATES NEXT WEEK:
